Blodgett Convection Oven

The Blodgett Convection Oven range is based upon over 160 years of manufacturing history.

The Blodgett Convection Oven has a welded angle iron frame which enables it to withstand many years of heavy use. The front, top and sides of the Blodgett convection oven are made of stainless steel. The baking compartment is lined with double-sided porcelain which acts a preventative to rust. The doors maintain a tight seal and do not lose their alignment because of the triple mount construction directly into the full angle iron frame. This means that heat is not lost through faulty seals. Dependent doors are easily opened simultaneously with one hand. The window is made of dual pane thermal glass. The ovens are fitted with five chrome plated racks which fit into eleven different positions. They have a capacity of up to five full size baking pans placed from left to right.

The Blodgett Convection Oven is available in gas and electric. Blodgett has a range of oven controls making it easy to find one appropriate to your requirements. These range from simple timing and temperature controls to fully programmable controls.

Blodgett convection ovens have now been awarded the Energy Star Energy Efficiency labels and the following products have been awarded this endorsement:

DFG-100, DFG-200, Mark-V, Zephaire-E, Zephaire-E Plus, Zephaire-G, Zephaire-G Plus, Zephaire 240G Plus, XCEL-50E.

Blodgett’s DFG models are equipped with their own patented Dual Flow heating system. A dual blower wheel brings hot air from outside the liner through an air duct and into the oven. This air mixes with the hot air that is already inside the oven.

The popular electric Mark-V model is but one example of the Blodgett Convection Ovens which are available and its details include:

Solid state manual control with other control options available

Rigid framed insulation

Two-speed, 1/3 HP convection motor w/ automatic thermal overload protection

Porcelain door handle with simultaneous door operation

Two-year parts/one year labor warranty

Five-year door warranty

Energy Star Qualified: 71.4 % Energy Efficiency Rating.

A little history:

The Blodgett company was founded in 1848 by Gardner Spring Blodgett to manufacture a range of wood burning ovens. In 1902 the company started manufacturing ovens which relied on gas for their energy. In the 1950s Blodgett introduced a range of pizza deck ovens, and in the 1960s, with the discovery of convection cooking, they introduced a range of gas and electric convection ovens.

Since the early 1980s the company has undergone significant expansions and changes of ownership which have led to the manufacturing operation which exists today, which includes the Blodgett Convection Oven.
